If you find yourself playing for a team for which you have no desire to play, you should leave as soon as possible.
Even if you are drafted first overall and become a starter with all the minutes in the world, you may want a change of scenery, especially if you have a favorite team in real life that you know you want to play for — even if they aren’t very good.
This guide will show you how to request a trade-in NBA 2K22 MyCareer and switch to a team you’d rather play for.
You can find the “Request Trade” button on the Progression tab at the start of the NBA season. There is, however, a catch. The feature is not yet available because other teams must be interested in having you on their team. That’s most likely why you haven’t noticed the option and are wondering how to request a trade-in 2k22.
It may take some time, but there are ways to get other teams interested in your player more quickly.
How to Get Teams Interested in You
Most problems, like most others, can be solved by simply playing the game more and performing better each time. If you’re wondering how to get traded in NBA 2K22, this is one of the most common ways to join a team.
This can be a lengthy process because a big performance only gives you a slight boost in interest after a few experiments. For example, I had a 60-point game with 12 assists and shot 83 percent from the field.
This only increased my interest in teams by 3-5 percent. They usually go up at the same rate when I play more games where I drop 30 or more points.
However, when I purposefully scored 8 points in a game and performed significantly worse than my average, some teams lost interest, while others did not change at all.
It appears that having an overall good game will matter when it comes to attracting the attention of other teams. The stellar performances will only help you unlock badges faster, get more VCs, and upgrade your attributes to get a 99 overall rating.
The teams that express interest in you are completely arbitrary. When I played against specific teams, their interest grew normally even if they were completely destroyed during the game.
For example, I dropped a 50-piece with an A+ teammate grade against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder’s interest in me increased by only 3% for that game.
It appears that it makes no difference whether you are playing against the team for which you wish to play. When it comes to requesting a trade and getting teams interested, everything is random.
If you’re starting from scratch, it’s best to accumulate more minutes and work your way up to becoming a starter for your team. This will give you more opportunities to improve your performance and become more consistent with your stats.
If you’re having trouble, simply lower the game difficulty in the game settings or increase the total minutes per quarter.
Games that simulate
This brings us to the other method of piquing the interest of teams more quickly. After a few tests, I discovered that simulating games can increase the other team’s interest in you.
This is by far the quickest method, but there are a few things you should be aware of first. For one thing, when you begin simulating games, you may perform worse than when you play the game.
This takes into account your current matchup against the team you’re playing against. If you have someone guarding you, such as Kawhi Leonard, Jrue Holiday, or Anthony Davis, your simulated performance against that team will suffer.
You should also keep track of your overall rating, skills, and current minutes allocation. All of these have a significant impact on your performance in simulated games.
Before simulating games, it is best to earn your minutes first and get it up to 33+ minutes per game. This also aids in the preservation of your season and career stats.
To put things into perspective, after playing the first 14 games, I simulated a total of four games (12 minutes per quarter). All simulated games increased other teams’ interest by 2-4 percent per game.
However, in my simulated games, I averaged around 28 points and 7 assists per game. Overall, they are all above-average performances that have piqued my interest in other teams.
The best way to avoid this is to first increase your minutes and overall rating before simulating games. You can then select which matchups you want to simulate.
If you have one of the best defensive players guarding you, you should play the game to ensure that your performance remains consistent with your averages.
Requesting to Get A Trade In NBA 2K22
Requesting a trade in NBA 2K22 is very different from previous games. To begin the trading process, players must make their character a starter. This occurs after they have played 10 games with the team that drafted them. After reaching that point, a cutscene occurs in which players meet with their GM to discuss the promotion to starter. It will take some time to complete the process from there, but there will be various actions and dialogue options that must be chosen in order to complete the trade quickly.
The next step will be for Kendrick Perkins to release a video in which he discusses trade rumors and disparages the player. Ricky will ask the player to confirm or deny the rumor after viewing the video. Select, “True. I’d like to start over somewhere else “to proceed with the trade request Play the next game to start a cutscene in which the player has an awkward interaction with a teammate who has also heard the rumors. To expedite the process, players can simulate games one at a time while waiting for each step to become available.
During the agent meaning, players will be able to select their top three trade picks. The character is usually offered by the team with the highest-rated players who complement the character’s skills. Choosing to be aggressive in your trade will expedite the process. Players will then receive a message instructing them to speak with their GM and break the news, and then speak with Ricky to learn about a television interview. More on the player will be said by Kendrick Perkins. Finally, at the last agent meeting, the player will be informed that they have been traded to their top pick.
